Course Description
OBJECTIVES:
- Highlighting high profile cases that may or may not have caused red flags in the hiring or credentialing process.
- Discussing examples of red flags.
- The responsibility of the gatekeeper to have these red flags addressed and the consequences of neglectful credentialing.
DESCRIPTION:
This session will delve into the importance of thoroughly vetting the healthcare provider before contracting or affiliating. Not every file will trigger a second look, but when there is an element indicating a possible issue, it should not be discarded or overlooked. Individuals responsible for collecting, verifying, and analyzing the credentials of a provider need to be acutely aware of their role as the gatekeeper for patient safety.
Join Dilsa in a discussion on everyone’s mind, how do we keep the providers from causing harm. Is it possible?
